“The Boss” from the chateau series. OH MY GOODNESS! Great love story and heartbreaking at the same time. I never thought I would see Fender in a different light as he is with Melanie. He is loving and kind with her but still stern and commanding. She fell in love with her captor and doesn’t understand the feelings she has toward him especially what he does for a living. He gave her everything plus his love for her. She has seen a totally different side to Fender. She longed to see her sister and to keep her safe. Fender finally made one promise to her that he would not kill Raven for all the mess she has made and her attempted escapes. Raven never gave up escaping the camp. Fender gave Magnus the choice to have Raven, the love of his life. One day Raven and Magnus show up and wanted to take her home to Ravens apartment. Melanie has a big decision to make which one will she pick Raven or Fender. Either way it will hurt one of them. I could not put this book down. This book has kept me in suspense, wanting more, and two people who fall in love with the most unlikely of situations. I love the “The Chateau Series. The Boss wasn’t so bad after all! This book was a hard one for me to really get into at first. In the beginning I felt nothing, Melanie is definitely not my favorite. Way to emotional and self centered. She just doesn’t get the bigger picture. Fender on the other had had earned some major kudos. Not that it makes some of his choices right, but you can see that he is slowly trying to change. I guess that is a positive thing that happened because of Melanie. As the book went along I got more and more into it. I guess I just really want to see how everything plays out in The Palace!!!

It’s really nice to see their perspective and how their love story came to be vs judging it from the eyes of Magnus/Raven. The book is well written, and I’m in love with these characters all over again. Penelope manages to make us still care about the story even though we already know what’s coming. So good!

“The Boss” from the chateau series. OH MY GOODNESS! Great love story and heartbreaking at the same time. I never thought I would see Fender in a different light as he is with Melanie. He is loving and kind with her but still stern and commanding. She fell in love with her captor and doesn’t understand the feelings she has toward him especially what he does for a living. He gave her everything plus his love for her. She has seen a totally different side to Fender. She longed to see her sister and to keep her safe. Fender finally made one promise to her that he would not kill Raven for all the mess she has made and her attempted escapes. Raven never gave up escaping the camp. Fender gave Magnus the choice to have Raven, the love of his life. One day Raven and Magnus show up and wanted to take her home to Ravens apartment. Melanie has a big decision to make which one will she pick Raven or Fender. Either way it will hurt one of them. I could not put this book down. This book has kept me in suspense, wanting more, and two people who fall in love with the most unlikely of situations. I love the “The Chateau Series. Read the book “The Boss” and see what happens with Fender and Melanie.

Good read

Unlike any romance I’ve ever read, Love the detail of the story and back story. But there Not enough detail of the intimate scenes thus the 4. I was surprised that I enjoyed it even after reading book one.

The Boss wasn’t so bad after all! This book was a hard one for me to really get into at first. In the beginning I felt nothing, Melanie is definitely not my favorite. Way to emotional and self centered. She just doesn’t get the bigger picture. Fender on the other had had earned some major kudos. Not that it makes some of his choices right, but you can see that he is slowly trying to change. I guess that is a positive thing that happened because of Melanie. As the book went along I got more and more into it. I guess I just really want to see how everything plays out in The Palace!!!

This was good, but basically a repeat of the last book. Just from Melanie & Fenders story. And it seems that’s how the book will be too.

* i received a free ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review* I’m so glad we got to see Fender and Melanie’s story after reading the last two books about Magnus and Raven. It’s really nice to see their perspective and how their love story came to be vs judging it from the eyes of Magnus/Raven. The book is well written, and I’m in love with these characters all over again. Penelope manages to make us still care about the story even though we already know what’s coming. So good!
